Frequently Asked Questions

"How can I join the choir?"

Currently, no auditions are required to become part of the Nashville Community Choir or our seasonal orchestra, only a love of music and a dedicated heart. Our choir is compiled of a spectrum of musical experience, but we are all committed to work together and improve for the best possible sound. Simply arrive early to one of our rehearsals and we will get you what you'll need and answer any additional questions you may have.

"When are rehearsals?"

The Nashville Community Choir rehearses weekly from from 5 PM to 7 PM Sunday evenings during choir season. Most frequently our rehearsals are held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 4304 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN.

"When does the choir perform?"

Our free community concerts are held all throughout the year, typically on Sunday evenings. We perform two different Christmas concerts with at least three different performances in December. Our Easter concert is performed a week or two before Easter Sunday, and finally our Patriotic concert is enjoyed between Memorial Day Weekend and Independence Day.

"Does it cost anything to be a member?"

Members are asked to submit a donation of $25 for each performance season to cover the cost of music rights. Since the Nashville Community Choir is a certified nonprofit organization, all donations are fully tax-deductible.

"I'd like to help the choir. What do I do?"

Thank you! We welcome your help! Any talents that you'd like to offer the choir are greatly appreciated, even the non-musical kind. Get in touch with us below. And, of course, you can to donate to the choir through the DONATE tab on our homepage. Your contributions keep the choir going!
